A quirky, off beat venue in the heart of Kings Cross regeneration specialising in the best in food and entertainment. Our aim is to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, whilst providing a friendly and hospitable meeting place for people of all ages and cultures. The Cross Kings has two spaces available for hire seven days a week. Weekend dates tend to be filled far in advance, so book early to avoid disappointment!

Front Bar + Terrace:
The Front Bar is normally free for regular customers and diners, the Terrace (South facing) seats approximately 30 to dine and drink until 10pm when all drinks and food must be consumed inside and only standing smoking is permitted outside.

Whole Venue: Capacity 400

Main Stage: Capacity 200

The Main Stage has seen the likes of Alabama 3, Fourtet, The Foals, The Popes, Black Kids, Misty’s Big Adventure, The Bobby McGees, Little Fish, Metronomy and Peyoti for President tread it’s boards - among a host of opera singers, harp players, skiffle bands and the odd gospel choir!

Adaptable for a hundred different occasions; birthday parties, album launches, fashion shows, poetry nights, award ceremonies..

Filled with lots of comfy sofas, huge wooden tables, and a large space to the front of the stage. More chairs can be brought in on request, or the space can be emptied of excess seating where appropriate. The stage itself is about 8 by 6, raised around a foot with a backdrop of black material (which can be used for projections) and good lighting set up available. There is also a piano on stage which is available for performances by request. This area is an ‘L’ shape, with the stage at the heel.

Jester Bar: Capacity 100

The psychadelic basement of the Cross Kings, a charicature of Dante’s Inferno described by Stephen Merchent as ‘a sex dungeon created by Beano’. A large lit stage area which screen to the rear for projections. Completely self contained with own PA, alcohol, toilets and Fire Exit; the possibilities are endless! Theatre style seating for up to 70 can be provided – or caberet style bistro tables with candles – or the space can be left empty bar a few big sofas to the edge. The space dresses extremely well and drapes can be provided to create a blank canvas for themed events.

We highly recommend you view the space available before the event!

Please note that the capacity is inclusive of your performers.

OPENING HOURS:

Sunday - Thursday: 12:00 – 00:00

Friday: 12:00 – 02:00
